Burzenin 2026 – three days of technology, building and amateur-radio gatherings
The Burzenin Amateur Radio Technical Convention once again brought together lectures, practical workshops, PUK projects, antennas, measurements and face-to-face meetings among people interested in radio technology. This year’s event took place on 11–13 September at the Sportowa Osada resort.

HAARP commemorated the 25th anniversary of 9/11 with an SSTV transmission
The HAARP facility in Alaska transmitted a special SSTV image toward New York and Washington, D.C. The transmission was dedicated to radio amateurs who had supported relief efforts after the 9/11 attacks 25 years earlier.

Polish schools and youth organizations can submit projects to the European ARISS program. Selected institutions will have the opportunity to conduct a radio conversation with an astronaut aboard the International Space Station in the second half of 2027.

Rafał SQ4O, working as HF0PAS from the Henryk Arctowski Polish Antarctic Station, has surpassed 5,000 contacts with radio amateurs worldwide.
SQ9UM from Rodrigues and Mauritius – thousands of QSOs from the Indian Ocean
Alexander SQ9UM completed his August activity from two Indian Ocean islands. From Rodrigues, he made approximately 2,700 contacts, and after returning to Mauritius, his log exceeded 5,000 QSOs.
