This year, the Gdańsk Branch of PZK is celebrating its 25th anniversary. The branch was established on 3 September 2001 during a meeting of PZK-affiliated amateur radio operators from Pomerania held at the “GALEON” club in Gdańsk.

One of the anniversary events is a month-long radio award program. From 1 to 30 September 2026 a special-event station will be active on the air 3Z25POT. Each contact with the station earns 25 points, which also meets the requirement for obtaining the commemorative eDiploma in A4 PDF format.

The activity covers the bands from 160 to 6 metres, the WARC bands, as well as 2 m, 70 cm and satellite contacts. QSOs made via FM repeaters and EchoLink also count toward the diploma. The organizers have planned activity using CW, SSB, FM, RTTY, FT8, FT4 and FT2.

The diploma is also available to SWL listeners. No paper QSL card needs to be submitted to obtain it. Applications are handled electronically, and the event’s Award Manager is Roman Hennig SQ2RH.

The event will run until 30 September, so operators still have several weeks to find 3Z25POT on the bands and earn the commemorative diploma.
