The Pomeranian Regional Branch of the Polish Amateur Radio Union in Gdańsk celebrates its 25th anniversary. The branch was established on 3 September 2001 during a meeting of PZK-affiliated radio amateurs from Pomerania at the GALEON club in Gdańsk „GALEON”.

One of the anniversary events is a month-long radio activity event featuring the special-event station 3Z25POT, held from 1 to 30 September 2026. The station may be active on bands from 160 to 6 meters, the WARC bands, 2 m and 70 cm, as well as via satellite. The rules allow operation using CW, SSB, FM, RTTY, FT8, FT4 and FT2.

Earning the anniversary eDiploma is exceptionally simple – all you need is one QSO with station 3Z25POT, worth 25 points. The diploma is also available to SWLs. The organizers do not require a paper QSL card to verify contacts.

The celebrations also included a formal gala held on 8 September at the Gdynia Center for Non-Governmental Organizations. The program included, among other things, a presentation on the branch’s history, honoring its members, and the opportunity to operate under the call sign 3Z25POT from a remote station.
