On Wednesday September 9, 2026 radio amateurs interested in digital modes on VHF can take part in the next round VHF-UHF FT8 Activity. This time, the activity takes place on the 70 cm band. The contest will run from 17:00 to 21:00 UTC, i.e. from 19:00 to 23:00 Polish time.

Today, September 9, 2026, the ninth FT8 Activity round of this year will take place FT8 Activity on the 432 MHz band. The series was created to increase the activity of radio amateurs using digital modes on the VHF and UHF bands.

The September 70 cm contest will start at 17:00 UTC and end at 21:00 UTC. Operators may use FT8 on 432.174 MHz and FT4 on 432.170 MHz. The rules provide for both Low Power and High Power categories. In the LP category, the limit for the 70 cm band is below 75 W.

During the QSO, the station callsign and four-character maidenhead locator are exchanged. Scoring is based on the number of unique callsigns and major locator fields worked. Each unique callsign scores one point, and the final result is multiplied by the number of different locator fields.

The organizer allows the use of DX Clusters, but self-spotting is prohibited. The log must be prepared in ADIF format and submitted electronically within a maximum of five days after the end of the round.

The series covers three bands: 144 MHz, 432 MHz, and 1296 MHz. In September, the 144 MHz round took place on September 2, today's round concerns 432 MHz, while the next one—for 1296 MHz—is scheduled for September 16.
