Anniversary 20th Małopolska Night of Scientists went down in history. On 25 September, popular science events were held in 13 cities and towns across the region, with around 70 institutions. Among the participants was the SOLARIS National Synchrotron Radiation Centre at Jagiellonian University, which is associated with the amateur radio station SN0SOLARIS.

Amateur radio operators prepared a special activity HF20MNN, held from 22 to 25 September. Its aim was to combine the anniversary of the Małopolska Night of Scientists with the promotion of amateur radio among the academic community and secondary-school students. The operators of SN0SOLARIS are employees of the SOLARIS National Synchrotron Radiation Centre and Jagiellonian University.

During the event, the station's activities were one of the elements of the Centre's presentation. In addition to demonstrations and physics-related experiments, participants were introduced to amateur radio and its importance as an alternative means of communication, including the possibility of using radio communication in crisis situations.

After the activity ended, the SN0SOLARIS operators thanked the participants and announced that they had begun collecting logs. Based on these, a ranking is to be prepared and certificates distributed. QSL cards are to be forwarded to the local QSL manager by 7 October.

The Małopolska Night of Scientists itself was also a large-scale event this year. The official summary by the Małopolska Region mentions thousands of participants, demonstrations, experiments, laboratory tours, and meetings with scientists.
