From September 23–29, 2026 a three-member team of American radio amateurs will be active from Bermuda: Lee N7NU, Ron WJ7R and Al K7AR. Outside the contest, the operators will use the call sign N7NU/VP9 and operate on the HF bands using CW, SSB, and digital modes. The information was published on September 20.

The expedition will be based at a well-known DX QTH VP9GE run by Ed Kelly in Bermuda, in locator FM72pi. For years, the station has hosted operators visiting the island to take part in contests and individual DX activities.

The highlight of the trip will be participation in the CQ World Wide RTTY DX Contest, which will take place September 26–27. During the contest, the team will switch to the call sign VP9I. This year's event will start on Saturday at 00:00 UTC and end on Sunday at 23:59:59 UTC. The competition covers five bands—80, 40, 20, 15, and 10 meters.

For N7NU/VP9, confirmation of contacts via N7NU. Information published before the trip also indicates support for electronic confirmations for contest-related activity.

For European operators, including stations from Poland, the expedition offers two opportunities to work Bermuda—during regular activity N7NU/VP9 and during intensive contest operation VP9I. Propagation conditions and the current frequencies will, of course, depend on the team's activity at the time.
