French Radio Club Vendéen F6KUF is conducting a special activity under the callsign TM4GGR. RSGB reported on it on September 18, confirming that the station would be active until October 9, 2026. The expansion of the GGR suffix refers directly to the Golden Globe Race, a solo round-the-world sailing race.

According to the 425 DX News calendar, the callsign TM4GGR is being used during various periods between September 7 and October 9. QSL confirmations are handled F6KUF via the bureau, while direct cards should be sent to F5OEV. Radio Club Vendéen has also launched a dedicated portal related to the activity.

This year's Golden Globe Race began on September 6 in Les Sables-d'Olonne. In a fresh report from the organizers dated September 17, it was announced that the leading competitors had already reached the area around Lanzarote. Damien Guillou aboard SOLAREM and Pat Lawless aboard SILVERMINES HYDRO passed the first film checkpoint there and continued south.

The Golden Globe Race draws on the classic format of ocean sailing and demands a high degree of self-reliance from its participants. The callsign TM4GGR creates a radio bridge between the ongoing voyage and the amateur-radio community—without suggesting that the shore station is conducting official communication with the race participants, something that available sources do not confirm.
