Organizers World Radiosport Team Championship 2026 canceled the previously announced standings and published new results. The top spot was taken by DJ5MW and DM5EE, competing as MB5O. The decision follows an additional review conducted after new information emerged following the end of the competition.

Results WRTC 2026 changed significantly. On September 1, the organizers announced that, after the initial judging process had been completed, new information had emerged requiring a further review. As a result, the previous standings were invalidated and replaced with new results.

After the recount, the team moved into first place MB5O – DJ5MW and DM5EE, scoring 7,310,308 points. Second place went to N6MJ and KL9A as MB4G, with 6,955,083 points, while third place went to K5ZD and W2SC competing as MB1T – 6,836,480 points.

The changes are significant also because four teams were disqualified. MB1I, MB2A and MB2M were found to have violated rule 12.2 concerning disclosure of the team's identity to other people. In turn, MB5Q was disqualified under rule 12.7, relating to an excessive number of unverifiable QSOs.

The organizers emphasized that conducting additional proceedings was necessary to preserve the integrity of the competition. The WRTC Sanctioning Committee also officially supported the actions of the judging committee and organizers and accepted the revised results.

WRTC is one of the most important team competitions in world contesting, so a change to the podium after the event has ended is an event that will certainly be widely discussed in the contesting community.
