Route One – the traditional route
The first route starts in Ustroń-Polana, which can be reached by car, bus, or train. We plan to take the chairlift from the lower station at approximately 10:00 a.m. We will then walk to the summit of Mount Czantoria, where the observation tower offers a picturesque panorama of the Beskids. We will then proceed to the “Koliba na Czantorii” mountain hut (49.679392, 18.794431).
Route Two
The second route leads to Poniwiec, where the lower station of the chairlift to Mała Czantoria is located at 107 Akacjowa Street (43-450 Ustroń; latitude 49.6912913924436, longitude 18.788219324766). The chairlift ride is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. After reaching the top, we will walk to the “Koliba na Czantorii” mountain hut (49.679392, 18.794431).
Organization and attractions
The organizers will provide preregistered participants and accompanying persons with hot and cold drinks, sausages for grilling, and a friendly atmosphere. Meals will be available for purchase on site, and you will also be able to grill sausages. Please report the number of participants to: sp9hty@interia.pl.
Additional information
The mountain hut has a 230 V mains power supply, making it possible to connect a radio. All you need to bring is a few meters of extension cable to operate for SPFF and OKFF. The summit of Czantoria is included in the SOTA award program (SP/BZ-035), so you can activate it on the air.
Return
We plan to return on foot via a hiking trail (approximately 2 hours) or by chairlift to Ustroń.
