A report published on September 23 describes a gathering of amateur radio operators, CB users, electronics enthusiasts, and people interested in radio technology in general. The hall featured tables with radio equipment, transmitters, antennas, vintage electronics, parts, and accessories. An important part of the event was the opportunity for attendees to buy, sell, and exchange equipment directly with one another.
The club’s official website has also published the results of the main prize drawing. The first prize was won by Jon Alexander KZ4T, the second by Logan Moore KQ4VGM, and the third by Darrel Hamilton AB4DH. The organizer also posted photographs of the winners.
Gadsden HAMFest is an example of an event with a strong community focus: alongside trading new and used equipment, direct meetings between operators and the exchange of experience related to radio and electronics remain equally important.
