All licensed radio amateurs from IARU Region 1 may participate. Separate classifications are provided for the 435 MHz band and for 1.3, 2.4, 3.4, 5.7 and 10 GHz, as well as for the combined group of millimetre bands above 10 GHz. On 435 MHz, categories include single- and multi-operator, Low Power and six-hour classes.
Contacts may be made using CW, SSB and FM/PM. The exchange consists of an RS or RST report, the consecutive QSO number starting at 001, and the complete six-character QTH locator. MGM modes are not permitted in this edition—the current rules limit them to separate 50 and 70 MHz contests.
On bands up to and including 10 GHz, scoring is based on the distance between stations—in practice, one point per kilometre according to the calculation method specified in the rules. On the higher millimetre bands, additional multipliers are applied, increasing with frequency.
Logs must be prepared in EDI format separately for each band. The submission deadline is 23:59 UTC on the first Wednesday after the contest, which for this year's edition is 7 October. This date is also confirmed by the current Polish UKF Club calendar.
